Front Elevation of House

Since we are waiting on pictures during excavation, we thought we would post a picture that shows the front elevation of our house. The front of the house faces north, and the back faces the slope you saw in some of the previous pictures of the lot pre-build. You can see the mountains from the front porch, to the west.

Lot Pre-Build

Here are a few pictures of the lot pre-build. Josh and I went out this morning to take them. The excavator should be starting next Wednesday, Oct 18th, if everything goes according to plan. He thinks it should take about 1 1/2 days to excavate the basement and garage. The basement will only be excavated about 4'4", so that we can avoid window wells. The basement should go in the following week. We ordered a package from Viceroy, which will supply everything but shingles, to get us to lock-up. This package has been confirmed for delivery on Nov 2nd. My dad (Ron) and anyone else who wants to help (hint, hint!!) will start framing Nov 3rd!!!
So far, the boys have really enjoyed going out to "the land" to play on the piles of dirt and rock. We go out about once a week, just to check on things. Jacob and Josh are really excited to see the excavator using a digger to dig the basement!!!
