A good weekend

The weather cooperated, and we had lots of help, so a fair bit of progress was made this weekend. With all the extra help, we were able to get the big beam that runs the width of the great room up, and then the rafters that sit upon that beam up as well. The dormers in the front of the house were completed, as well as all the exterior walls on Joshua's room. The only exterior wall left to complete is the back wall with the windows, and it is partially finished. For interior walls, we need to put up the back walls on all 3 of the kids' rooms, as well as the walls that overlook the great room. Todd and Dad L were going to get the last 4 trusses in place in the great room, and then they were going to start sheathing the roof. Thanks to Nigel, Louise, Tanner, Mom L, Dad L, and Todd for another great weekend of work (and I guess I should mention Tayler and Eliza since they did load up the truck with 2 x 6's and packed that into the house, as well as Grannie [my Grandma] for helping out with the kids and around the house).

Looking at the house from the Southwest.

Looking at the house from the Southeast.

The big dormer is Jacob's room, the middle one is the kids' bathroom, and the outside on is in Josh's room.

This is looking into Josh's room, with the bathroom on the right.

This is the kids' bathroom. The toilet will sit under the window, and the tub sits on the left in the framed in area.
