Trip to Montana

Todd took a trip down to Great Falls, Montana, on Monday to pick up some scaffolding. He got three sets--that reach up to 18'--for the price that he could have bought one locally. It is in great shape, has outriggers, and a safety rail. We will use it for drywalling, and painting mostly, but it has come in handy already for putting in some of the backing (for the drywalling).

Our lake lot!!!

Okay, so it isn't quite that bad out there--although there is a fair bit of water sitting around, back away from the house, and there is a lot of mud--the kids love it!!!

Getting Closer

Another beautiful day out at the lot. The septic tank and manhole access was put in yesterday.
Sheathing on the east roof of the great room. Now that this is on, the rafters to the left (over the games room/staircase) can now be put into place.
Dad L continuing to work on the bay window.
Todd and Uncle Nigel working on the west wall for Nathan's room (another tall one!!!)
Looking at the sheating on the east roof of the great room from Nathan's room.

Beautiful Weather

Last Sunday, the guys got all the sheathing in place over Jacob's room (big dormer).
Thursday afternoon, Todd and I worked on the in-floor heat for the slab. If we didn't have the kids with us. We could easily get it done in an afternoon.

The septic system is finally going in

The guys brought the bay window into the house last Sunday, and started to frame for that.
