Sorry it has been so long.....

Things have been busy around here--making sure everyone is on schedule to complete their jobs before we move in at the end of this month!!! Garage doors should have been installed today, so I should be able to grab a picture of those tomorrow. We ordered all of the flooring--the hardwood will be dropped off on the 13th to get acclimatized, and will be installed sometime the following week. Tile is set to be installed on Aug 20th, and the carpet on Aug 27th. Our railings go in on Aug 14th, and the cabinets, countertops, and vanities should be installed starting on Aug 27th as well. We will probably take delivery on all of our appliances this next week, and just store them in the garage. We are going to start painting the interior on Sunday and Monday of this week, assuming the sander shows up to finish on Saturday--he is supposed too!!! The drywalling process has actually gone quite smooth, took a little longer than we had hoped (by about 1 week), but not bad. They have done a great job. We will also start to move some of our stuff out and store it in the garage--we'll take one load each time we go out!!! We will probably make the final move on Aug 25 and 26.
Todd installed the deck support (green pressure treated wood) so that we could start siding in the back. Joist hangers will attach to this, and then the floor joists for the deck will come out from there.

This is looking up at the peak of the great room--lucky us--we get to paint way up there this weekend!!!

The fireplace wall. It will be rock on the solid wall, but painted all around the windows.

This is our heating system--a little complex..... The boiler is the grey unit, and the rest is pipes--for what, I'm not sure!!!!

This is the fan coil, that uses heat from the boiler, to circulate that throughout the house--this essentially replaces a furnace.

Cleaning potatoes from the garden--Jacob couldn't believe it when I pulled out a potato plant and there were potatoes on it!!!!
They made for a delicious supper!!!
More of the siding. Rock will go where you see the Tyvek.

These are the 49 fascia boards that my mom and I painted--there was supposed to be 50, but I broke one..... Hopefully we will find someone to install them sometime soon.....
